The Living Word

 In Daily Devotional

John 1: 1, 14

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Jesus, the Name above all names, became the Living Word of the Father when He took on flesh and came to dwell among us. The Holy Spirit initiated the physical process of this miraculous incarnation of Jesus with His visitation to Mary.

Jesus manifested the Glory of the Father; and, the Father’s grace and truth for humanity was on display through the life of Jesus. The power of the Holy Spirit achieved God’s mighty works through Jesus who intentionally and willingly humbled Himself to be a man led by the Spirit of God.

Jesus personified everything the Father intended for us, and He was the manifestation of the living and active Word of God. His Truth pierced the hearts of those to whom He ministered, and He was able to discern the thoughts and intents of the hearts of all who encountered Him. He was anointed by, and led by, the Holy Spirit in every way, every day.

What a magnificent example we have in Christ Jesus! We too will see the Living Word bring forth fruit in our lives when we are led by the Spirit daily.
