Incomparable Great Power

 In Daily Devotional

Ephesians 1:18-20

“I pray…that you may know…his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead…”

For so many years I felt powerless. Long before I was incarcerated behind razor wire and steel bars, I was imprisoned by addictions, hopelessness, depression, shame, pride, greed and a myriad of other bondages. I did not think anything would ever change because I did not have the power to change them. Have you ever felt this way?

After I fully surrendered to God while in prison, I began to learn about the Power of God the Father available to me through His Holy Spirit Who lived in me. I now have the Power! This power is the same Power that resurrected Jesus from the dead and seated Him forever in Heavenly places. God is Almighty, that is, He possesses all power.

The fact that this same Power in the Person of the Holy Spirit will lead me, teach me, comfort me, and help me is almost beyond comprehension, but it is true! I see Him manifest more of this daily in my life as I learn to more fully surrender and submit in obedience to Him.

Are you experiencing this more every day? Seek. Surrender. Submit. Obey.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask our Heavenly Father how you may know more of His incomparable resurrection power for living the abundant life Jesus came to give you. Seek Him today with all your heart. He will be found by you and reveal His Power in the form of His Holy Spirit.
