God Reveals by His Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:9-10

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love him — 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”

This passage is often used in sermons to foreshadow the mysteries of Heaven to be revealed when we leave our temporary earthly assignment. Certainly, there are many tremendous surprises awaiting us.

However, Paul is also informing us that the Spirit of God the Father knows all things, and desires to begin to reveal them to us now, in this life. By reviewing the entire passage of 1 Corinthians 2:6-16, we see Paul is speaking about the Wisdom of God revealed by His Spirit enabling us to have the mind of Christ.

Paul tells us in verse 11 and 12, “no-one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.”

Brothers and Sisters, this is exciting Truth. The Spirit of God in you desires to reveal the deep things of God to you, so you are better able to live the abundant life Jesus came to give you (John 10:10)!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask your Heavenly Father to give you the mind of Christ. Tell Him you desire to understand the deep things of God that can help you today.

Allow God to reveal them by His Spirit.
