God is with You
Joshua 1:5
“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Matthew 28:20
Jesus said, “… and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
There are plenty of times in our lives where we have felt alone. In the middle of the night we may have shed tears wondering who we could turn to for comfort and companionship.
Sometimes our families and friends have abandoned us as a result of our lives of sin negatively impacting their own lives. Loneliness is now considered one of society’s biggest maladies plaguing a large percentage of people in the world.
As Christians, we are promised that although the world may abandon us, forsake us, and leave us, God never will! Jesus and the Father have sent us a “Comforter” in the Holy Spirit. He wants us to see Him as our constant companion and true friend. He is also called our Teacher and Counselor, and someone who comes along and stands beside us in every situation of life. I have heard it said, one person with God is the majority!
Paul writes in Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” In Psalm 27:1, David wrote, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?”
With God, you are never alone, and nobody will be able to stand against you!
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Talk to the Father about any sense of loneliness you may have today. Ask His Holy Spirit to help you see that in Christ Jesus you are never alone! Thank the Father for His everlasting presence.
