Wisdom and Revelation
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you…”
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Because of our faith in Jesus, God the Father is pleased to give us “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation” so that we may know Him better. The God of the universe wants to have an intimate personal relationship with us!
All our hope is in Him, and He gives us enlightened hearts to realize and walk in His hope-filled calling for us. He longs for us to know His will, and we are encouraged to transform and renew our minds through His Word so that the allurements of the world will not entrap us.
With a renewed mind, we are able to better discern the voice of the Holy Spirit apart from the competing voices of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Then we can be led in His will!
Put the Word of God deep into your heart. Confess this aloud, and repeat it often today:
“I receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of my understanding being enlightened. I am not conformed to this world but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. My mind is renewed by the Word of God.”
