The Spirit Testifies of Jesus
Jesus said, “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.”
The Holy Spirit will always testify of Jesus. The Spirit points us to Christ, leads us in the ways of Christ, and desires to conform us ever increasingly into the very image of Christ Jesus. If you sense a “leading” that does not match up to Christ Jesus and His Ways, you are not following the Holy Spirit’s voice.
Jesus sent us a Helper, Advocate, Friend and Guide. The Holy Spirit is the Supreme Gift available to us from the Person of Ultimate Sacrifice Who proclaimed Himself to be the Truth.
The Source of all Truth is the Spirit of the Father from Whom we were given the most Preeminent Gift, Jesus. The Father’s heart is Jesus. The Father’s Spirit is Truth. How could He testify to us of Anyone but Jesus?
Our supreme desire ought to be the daily pursuit of deeper, intimate relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Today’s scripture reveals more about each Person in the Godhead.
Knowing the individual Persons of God helps us have a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. Study the Persons. Learn to relate to each Person’s uniqueness.
Thank the Father for the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, Who will always teach you about Jesus. Ask the Father to show you how to develop a more intimate relationship with each of the Three Persons of God.
This is about relationship, not religion.
