The Spirit Raised Jesus

Romans 8:11

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

Romans 1:4

“…and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.”

If you will really stop to consider the significance and reality of these two scriptures, it will almost blow your mind, and overwhelm your heart. Read them again. Ask your Teacher, the Holy Spirit to explain their meaning.

The abundant life Jesus came to give us (see John 10:10) is instantly available to us now as we continue our earthly journey. How? By the very Spirit Who was instrumental in bringing Life back to our Savior and Lord.

It was the Resurrection of Jesus that dealt the death-blow to our enemy. The Word tells us that the Power of God to accomplish this was administered through the Spirit of Holiness, His Holy Spirit, Who by this act solidified Jesus as the Son of God, and crowned Him King of kings.

Saint of God, this is the very same Spirit Who dwells in you! Meditate on 1 Corinthians 3:16.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Thank the Father for His Spirit of Holiness Who raised Jesus from the dead. In light of this truth, make it a goal to learn how to totally surrender to the Spirit’s leadership of your life moment by moment. Thank the Father that everything you need for the abundant life already dwells in you.
