Possess The Promise

Numbers 13:30, 14:7-8, 24

“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it…7The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. 8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.’…24(God said) ‘But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.’”

How very important it is to present a good report, confess it in faith, and believe God will deliver on what He has promised! The Bible is full of promises for His people who meet the specific conditions.

Joshua and Caleb were the only ones who came back with a good report out of the twelve men sent by Moses to explore the promised land. They believed God was able to deliver on His promise to give them the land, and they were bold in their confession. Even though theirs was the minority report, they did not cower in unbelief. They wanted to please God and were unafraid of men.

As Christians today, we ought to always want to please God, not man. We should always have a spirit of faith and courage, boldly state God’s promises, meet His conditions, and follow God with all our heart. Like Caleb, we should have a “different spirit” from the world.

Don’t agree with any negative report. Have faith!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask the Father to give you a spirit of faith, boldness and courage. Thank Him for the many promises He has made available to you though Jesus.

Possess the promise.
