Nothing’s Too Hard for God

Jeremiah 32:27

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Genesis 18:14

“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

These are simple but amazing passages! God Himself is speaking in both cases. Sometimes I imagine Him saying it with a little bit of a sarcastic tone like, “Really???”

As we continue to learn more about God’s Power, Presence and Preeminence, we begin to really trust Him with everything about us and our lives. The more we exercise our faith, our confidence in Him and His promises continues to increase.

There is absolutely nothing beyond His control. He has absolute power in all of the universe. He has no need of anything, yet He desires an intimate relationship with us. That almost blows my mind. He is everywhere present all the time, and knows everything completely and perfectly.

All time and eternity is contained in Him. Nothing exists outside of Him. He knows everything about us and loves us anyway! His grace, mercy, kindness, goodness and love are endless and without measure.

In spite of how hopeless things seem to us, and how helpless we are to work out for ourselves the most important matters of life, we must remember God is Able, Faithful and True! In spite of how negatively we view ourselves or our circumstances, we must know that God can bring something positive out of any bad situation. See Genesis 50:20, and Romans 8:28. Remember, this is God our Creator we are talking about!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Spend some time quietly in His Presence considering all you have just read. Express to Him your awe and amazement for Who He is, and thank Him for desiring a relationship with you.

Trust Him completely.
