God Completes his Work

 In Daily Devotional

Psalm 138:8

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever—forsake not the works of Your own hands.”

Philippians 1:6

“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

God never leaves anything undone. Whatever He starts, He finishes.

God has a plan for each and every one of His children. He wants to see us walk in the fullness of His intention for us. The most amazing part of this truth is that He has given us His Spirit to accomplish the work in us; we merely have to surrender to Him daily and submit to His leadership.

The Holy Spirit’s work in us is ongoing and progressively fruitful as He conforms us to the image of Christ Jesus, and leads us in the paths God in His Wisdom has ordained for us. As the world around us sees the fruit of His labor in our lives, others will naturally be drawn to Him.

God has said He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5-6). He will not abandon us or leave us as orphans (John 14:18). God works in us to will and to act to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13).

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Put the Word of God deep into your heart. Confess this aloud, and repeat it often today:

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me, and fulfill His purpose for me. He Who began a good work in me will complete it! God works in me, and will never leave me or forsake me.”
