Every Spiritual Blessing

Ephesians 1:3

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

What a marvelous statement of truth for Paul to make! We have every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. All, I repeat, all spiritual blessings God has ever made available to His people are forever found in Christ Jesus; and, they are never to be withdrawn or diminished in any way. They are eternal.

I suggest you study the passage immediately following today’s verse, that is, Ephesians 1:3-14. In this passage, Paul enumerates many of these spiritual blessings:

God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. Out of His limitless love, He predestined us to be adopted in the family of God through (and only through) Jesus Christ. He did this because He wanted the pleasure of extending His superabundant grace to those who could never deserve or earn it, if only they would receive it in Christ Jesus.

In Christ, we have redemption, forgiveness, wisdom and understanding. God made known to us His ultimate intention to bring all things together in Heaven and on earth under One Head, Christ Jesus.

God has made us trophies of His grace for the praise of His Glory. When we were born again, God marked us as His own with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Who is a down payment guaranteeing our inheritance until our ultimate redemption for all of eternity, again, to the praise of His Glory!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Put the Word of God deep into your heart. Confess this aloud, and repeat it often today:

“I am blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus.”
