Choose Whom You Will Serve

 In Daily Devotional

Joshua 24:14-15

“Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

In these last hours of the last days before the soon return of our King Jesus, it has never been more important to decide once and for all who you will serve in sincerity and truth. Now is certainly NOT the time to be “lukewarm”, “on the fence”, or “playing with God”.

This choice has eternal consequences, not just for you, but potentially for your family and other loved ones. God has so very much in store for all those who will seek Him and serve Him with all their hearts.

We must forever turn our backs on our past and destroy all the idols to which we once bowed. This should be a once and for all event. It is a decision to serve God with all of our hearts in spite of what the world may think about us.

Whom will you serve? Decide today to serve God forever in sincerity and truth.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Tell the Father you are choosing to serve Him with all of your heart for all of your days in sincerity and truth. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify any idols left over from your past.
