Wisdom and Truth
John 16:13
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
The Word of God is alive and powerful. When we confess it and apply it to our lives, we can expect to see positive measureable results. Today’s verses promise that God makes available to us truth and wisdom. We do not have to beg Him for them.
The Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, abides in every born again follower of Jesus. He will always be available to guide us into all truth, but He will not force it upon us. We should ask God about everything we do. Even what we consider small decisions can have large consequences.
We should seek God’s wisdom to help us properly apply the principles in His Word along with truth being revealed by His Holy Spirit. The Word says Jesus has become for us wisdom from God (1 Corinthians 1:30), so as we live in Christ, we have access to all wisdom.
God’s promises are real. Believe them, confess them, and expect them to bear fruit.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Put the Word of God deep into your heart. Confess this aloud, and repeat it often today:
“The Spirit of Truth abides in me and teaches me all things, and He guides me into all truths. Therefore, I confess I have perfect knowledge of every situation and circumstance I come up against for I have the wisdom of God.”
