Things Planned Long Ago
Isaiah 25:1, 9
“LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago… 9 In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’”
Matthew 25:34
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”
Could we just stop a few minutes to think about eternity in Heaven with our Lord and Savior?
As born-again children of our Father God, we have so very much to look forward to in eternity. God planned “things long ago” (Isaiah 25:1) concerning “the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” (Matthew 25:34).
Just think about that. God always knew we would need a Savior from the day the Father, Son and Spirit said, “Let us make man in our image.” (Genesis 1:26). Throughout the entire Bible, we can trace the scarlet thread of redemption all the way from the sacrifice required to cover Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3:21), to the Lamb in Revelation “who was slain from the creation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8).
We who have trusted in Jesus can be assured with certainty we will inherit “the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Hebrews 11:10). Oh, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation!
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
