Praying for Prison Ministry Volunteers

 In Daily Devotional

Ephesians 6:19-20

“Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”

As we close out the year, let’s pray for every person who is a prison ministry volunteer, or prison Chaplain. There is a great revival happening all across America in the prisons. Many prophecies have gone forth that America’s great revival will start there. I believe we are seeing it now.

God is raising up a mighty army of former offenders who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Before they were saved they were not afraid to serve the devil; and today, they are boldly serving Jesus! To my incarcerated brothers and sisters in Christ, please know you are crucial to this revival.

There is no-one more important to prison ministry than believers still behind razor wire. You are in the best position to see what needs to be done, and who needs help, in the ongoing battle to bind the strongman and carry off his possessions!

True, committed believers in prison may be considered as being behind enemy lines! You are God’s special forces operating secretly in small numbers to spoil the enemy’s plans and organize resistance to his evil schemes. Like the Navy SEALS, or the Army’s Airborne Rangers, Christian prisoners are at the very tip of the spear, the leading edge of our attack on Satan and his forces. Be ready. Be vigilant. Be strong and very courageous (Joshua 1:5-9). Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Eph. 6:10).

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Please pray for me, Stephen Canup, and Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries. God bless you!
