Let Nothing Move You

1 Corinthians 15:58

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Going “all in” for Jesus means that we will put Him first in every area of our life – His character, His love, His compassion, His mercy, His forgiveness.

We must stand firm against the world, the flesh and the devil. They will always be pushing against the principles of Christ. The assault on the Biblical worldview and Christians is increasing daily. Paul exhorts us to be focused, tireless, and totally devoted to our mission.

We are all ambassadors for Christ, and we are to represent His Kingdom to the world around us wherever we are every day. Each of us is charged to fulfill the great commission to spread the Good News of Jesus in our particular environments.

This is best done by letting our lives shine forth the love, peace, joy, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and patience produced as fruit by the Holy Spirit in our totally surrendered lives. We must submit to the Lordship of Jesus and the Leadership of the Holy Spirit.

We will not fully realize the impact on others of our work for the Lord until we stand in front of Jesus in Heaven. But, our labor will be rewarded magnificently in eternity.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask the Father to show you an area in your life where there is compromise between your Christian principles and the world’s ways of living. Tell Him you want to stand firm for Jesus and do the right thing. Ask the Holy Spirit to make the necessary changes as you re-surrender to Him today.
