God’s Does Not Change
“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.”
“I the LORD do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”
There is no doubt we will be learning more about God for all of eternity. For now, however, God has revealed Himself through His Word, and His Spirit. Jesus said if we have seen Him, the Living Word, we have seen the Father. He has given us enough Truth in the here and now so we can choose to enter into an eternal relationship with Him.
God does not change. His very nature is unchanging. He has confirmed this. We can count on God to consistently apply love, mercy, grace, justice and judgment.
What we learn of God’s faithfulness, principles, justice and judgment in the Old Testament prepares us to discover His unconditional love, mercy and grace demonstrated in and through Jesus as related to us in the New Testament. He always preserves a remnant of those who will seek Him with all their heart, surrender to the Lordship of Jesus, and follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit!
The unchanging nature of His purpose is to offer the intimacy of eternal relationship with the Father to the heirs of salvation through Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit.
Worship the Father in appreciation of His unchanging and unconditional love, grace and mercy to you. Tell Him you desire above all else to accept His offer of intimate relationship with Him.
