Confess the Word
Psalm 119:11
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
So, what is the secret to knowing the truth disclosed in the Word of God regarding His thoughts about us as “new creations in Christ”? I believe the secret is to daily confess aloud what the Word of God says about us, and to pray personalized daily prayers to ask the Father to help us apply the Word to our lives in every situation.
Let me recommend something to you. While I was still incarcerated, two different ministers encouraged me to begin the practice of agreeing daily with God about what His Word says about me, and praying powerful, personalized daily prayers over my life. I typed these up after my release, and I am enclosing them near the end of this book for your review and use.
I encourage you to repeat these daily for six months, even if you only whisper loud enough where only you hear it. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” according to Romans 10:17. These daily confessions are so very powerful because they are all directly from the Word of God. And praying the Word of God is the most powerfully effective request of the Father that you could ever possibly pray!
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Ask the Father to give you the mind of Christ so that you can remember and confess His Word over your life. Open your heart to His Wisdom.
Fill your heart and mouth with the Word.
