Come, Drink, Live

 In Daily Devotional

Revelation 22:17

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”

The Holy Spirit is constantly, but gently, calling us to “Come”. He wants us to choose His path, listen to His voice and follow His lead. He desires to lead us to an ever-increasing level of intimacy of personal relationship with the Father.

The Bride of Christ, that is, the true body of Believers, calls us to “Come” and join into meaningful fellowship together with one another and the Spirit.

Others who have heard and responded to the Spirit’s call, and made this choice, urge and encourage us to “Come” and join them on the path. But, in order for us to respond, we must recognize the deep longing inside, the deep emptiness, and desire with all our heart to be filled with something permanently life-sustaining.

Do you really wish to be filled? Think about how many times you have been encouraged to go deeper in Christ, to go “all in”. It is a free gift, and is yours for the taking. There is always more of God no matter how long you have been in relationship with Him.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask the Father to reveal to you the source of emptiness and loneliness deep inside. Tell Him you desperately want to be filled forever. Ask Him for the pure living water of His Spirit and His Word.

Come to Him. Drink deeply. Live eternally filled.
