Be Utterly Amazed
Habakkuk 1:5
“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
From the time I gave my heart to Jesus in 2009, I have not ceased to be amazed at what God has done – utterly amazed! Not just in my own life, but in the lives of our prison ministry volunteers, many of whom are former offenders like me. Additionally, He continues to move dramatically in all the ministries with which we are associated, not just our own.
God is no respecter of persons, what He does for one He will do for all! Check out these scriptures: Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalms 36:7-8; Matthew 22:16; Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11; Ephesians 6:9; James 2:1-3; and, 1 Peter 1:17. God is able to do exceedingly more than you can even ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)!
He is able to restore children to you, repair broken marriages, provide employment opportunities, improve housing, increase finances, and reveal His perfect will for your life. He restores hope, purpose and passion for living. He reveals His love and longing for intimate relationship with you.
When you are totally committed to serving God as obediently as you know how, in spite of your circumstances, tests and trails, God honors your wholehearted devotion. Jesus said, in John 15:7-8, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
You will be utterly amazed!
