Full, Led and Empowered
Luke 4:1, 14
“Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness…14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.”
Oh, what an awesome God we serve. Like Jesus, we are able to be full of the Spirit, led by the Spirit and empowered by the Spirit! We are the living temple where we are able to host the very presence of God, filled to overflowing with His anointing, and emboldened to spread the Good News to all.
If Jesus needed to be full, led and empowered, don’t we? How could we ever really expect to do the things He did without all of His Spirit? See John 14:12.
For those of us who are, or have been, incarcerated, there is a day when we will leave our own “Jordan” and return to the wilderness of the world. Surely, we must seek all of the Holy Spirit’s power and anointing to successfully transition back into freedom.
When our “cellies”, families, former friends and co-workers see the transformation God did in us, news of Him will spread out all around us! Our testimony of a truly changed life by the power of the Holy Spirit will bring God the Father glory, and please our Lord and Savior, Jesus!
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Talk to the Father about your need and desire to be full, led and empowered by His Holy Spirit just like Jesus. Seek to learn all you can about hosting His Presence so that your life will be totally and forever transformed.
