The Spirit is Everywhere Present
Psalm 139:7-10
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
There is nowhere we could ever be where the Presence of God the Holy Spirit is not.
God is omnipresent. A. W. Tozer explains, “God is everywhere here, close to everything, next to everyone… there is no place in heaven or earth or hell where men may hide from His presence. The scriptures teach that God is at once far off and near, and that in Him men move and live and have their being.”1
It comforts me to consider how God was with me even in the midst of all my sin. He waited patiently for me to finally come to the end of myself in prison and cry out to Him in surrender. Likewise, His presence kept me safe, taught me, and set me free even while I was still incarcerated.
God is with you too right now, right where you are! Believe that.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Be still and know that He is God. He is with you. He will never leave you. Tell Him you want to recognize His Presence with you all day.
