God Declares New Things

 In Daily Devotional

Isaiah 42:9

“See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare, before they spring into being I announce them to you.”

I will never forget the first glimmer of hope I experienced as I began to accept the Father’s forgiveness of me and the removal of all my sin – past, present and future.

I had never experienced the peace, emotional freedom and mental release I felt when He showed me I must forgive myself, so I could trust Him and move forward as the “new creature” He made me when I was “born again”. I had to make a deliberate and determined choice to “let the past be the past”.

It was clear to me that God had forgiven me, but I couldn’t forgive myself. Did you ever feel this way?

We must believe that our Father is no longer holding our past against us. He wants us to realize we can’t do anything to change the past, but if we trust Him, He will declare new things for our future. As we seek Him diligently daily, He will reveal each new part of His plan for us at just the right time. So, we walk by faith, not by sight.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Ask God the Father to forgive you for holding un-forgiveness towards yourself. Thank Him that the Blood of Jesus is so powerful as to take away all your sins. Today, let the Holy Spirit show you new things that the Father has declared.

Forgive yourself. Move on.
