Calling Evil Good

 In Daily Devotional

Isaiah 5:20

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

We really shouldn’t be surprised at how fast the world is sliding into hell. Jesus told us things would get worse and worse as we near the end of the age and the soon coming Day of the Lord. But my heart breaks for how sinful the world has become, especially in America.

In spite of how “progressives” continually want to hide or re-write the history of America, the truth is that our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, values and ethics. Yet, today, every semblance of Christian influence in our culture is being attacked and destroyed.

All the values that have been good and loving in our country are now called evil and hateful. Evil deeds formerly done in darkness are now openly celebrated in the light. The enemy is making great inroads in turning everything upside down, substituting counterfeits and perversions for the real and decent things of God.

Judgment is fast approaching. I recommend you study the surrounding context of today’s passage, Isaiah 5:8-30. As it was with the people of Israel in Isaiah’s day, so it is now in our day. The patience and mercy of God is wearing very thin. His justice and revenge for wickedness and evil is fast approaching.

There has never been a more important time for true Christians to be bold and courageous. We must speak the truth in love. We cannot remain silent.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Pray for a real Holy Ghost revival in our country and this troubled world; and, for people to be overwhelmed with the need for true repentance. Ask the Spirit for courage and boldness.
