We will never know this side of heaven how the Holy Spirit will use our seed-planting to bring multiple harvests resulting in countless lives touched by the Good News of Jesus!
We are often asked why we choose to do prison ministry. Charles T. Studd, missionary to formerly unreached people in Asia and Africa, said it best:
There are so many creative ways to minister and work in the harvest fields! God can and will send out anyone to be His voice, hands, and feet!

Holy Spirit Inspires and Teaches Through Art
A new aspect of Freedom in Jesus Ministries began in the Lubbock County Detention Center on May 8th. 'Under His Banner' is a group of women dedicated to praying for and conducting an art journaling class every Wednesday afternoon with the ladies incarcerated at the Lubbock Co. Detention Center.
God loves to "free the prisoners!" We believe the Holy Spirit has orchestrated each art journaling activity to reveal the Lord Jesus to every heart that the Lord has drawn to our classes.
These ladies are learning to 'S.O.A.P.' the scripture! They write out the Scripture ... Observe what it says by writing out the facts ... Apply the truth of God's word to their own lives ... Pray the Word back to God ... then participate in an artistic, visual activity to express and help them really 'get' what God is trying to teach them in that certain passage.
An example of one of their Applications from this Genesis passage: "A: Remind myself that I am special in His eyes and that I have a divine purpose. Never forget that even if I am nobody to the world, I am SOMEBODY to GOD!"
